The Great Lakes Baseball and Softball League (GLBSL) has officially opened free-agent registration for players interested in competing in the league’s upcoming inaugural season across Michigan.
League officials announced that the free-agent pool will allow players who are not currently part of an established team to register and be placed with clubs forming in the league’s 20 regional markets. The system is designed to ensure that interested athletes throughout the state have a clear path to participate, even if they do not already belong to an organized team.
Registered free agents will be placed into a statewide player database that team managers and league staff will use during the roster-building process. As new teams are approved and existing teams finalize their lineups, managers will be able to recruit players from the free-agent pool to complete their rosters ahead of the season.
The Great Lakes Baseball and Softball League is currently assembling teams across 20 Michigan markets, with competition structured around regional play to keep travel manageable while still providing a larger league format and postseason opportunities.
League officials encourage interested players to register early, as teams will begin reviewing the free-agent pool while assembling their inaugural rosters in the coming weeks.
Free-agent registration is now open for players across Michigan who want the opportunity to compete in the Great Lakes Baseball and Softball League’s first season.
